World Snooker and Eurosport have announced the channel will televise the Shanghai Masters world ranking event.
The tournament was recently added to the calendar, and World Snooker and Eurosport have now agreed to add it to this season’s roster of events to be broadcast by the channel.
The 2017 Shanghai Masters runs from November 13 to 18 and will feature top stars including Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins, Mark Selby, Judd Trump and defending champion Ding Junhui.
Promoted by Shanghai Juss Sports, the event will be staged at Shanghai Indoor Stadium. The Shanghai Masters has been ever present since 2007 but this time it will host 64 players at the final venue for the first time, with record prize money of £700,000.
The Shanghai Masters will be broadcast on Eurosport and Eurosport Player in 54 countries and territories on Eurosport across Europe with Quest in the United Kingdom showing the tournament live on its channel.
Eurosport will televise a wide range of snooker’s biggest tournaments this season including the World Championship, UK Championship, the Masters and the Home Nations series.
