Tickets for BBC Sports Personality 2017 of the Year now on sale

October 11, 2017 by Staff

Tickets for BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2017 go on sale this Friday 13 October at 9am.

This year’s ceremony takes place on Sunday 17 December at the Echo Arena Liverpool where presenters Clare Balding, Gabby Logan and Gary Lineker will be joined in the arena by an audience of around 11,000, plus millions of viewers tuning in at home as the event is broadcast live on BBC One.

Logan said: “I love Liverpool. There is a real sense of passion and pride about the place and the people who live there.

“We want to create a fantastic atmosphere on the night for everyone in the arena and at home – I know Liverpool will deliver that.”

Last year saw Wimbledon champion Sir Andy Murray crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year for a record third time, ahead of triathlete Alistair Brownlee and showjumper Nick Skelton. In a year which has once again seen British sports stars excel on the world stage, 2017 will have no shortage of talented sports men and women vying to take home the coveted award.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 13 October, priced at £45 plus admin fees, see website for full details. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, minimum age 10 years.

Tickets can be purchased online via www.echoarena.com/spoty2017
