Virgin Media customers gain Android Sky Sports app

March 18, 2015 - Staff

virgin_media_logo_900Virgin Media customers with Sky Sports subscriptions can now watch the channels on Android smartphones, tablets and laptops via the Sky Sports app.

Users were previously restricted to iOS devices but are now able to watch Sky Sports 1 to 5, Sky Sports F1 and Sky Sports News HQ over 3G, 4G and WiFi on any Android device.

Scott Kewley, Director of Digital Entertainment at Virgin Media said: “The Sky Sports app for Android cements our position as the home of sports TV at home or on the move and means we now have a full complement of Android and iOS apps for both Sky Sports and Sky Movies.

“Our customers enjoy the same access to Sky Sports on the go as Sky customers”
