TalkTalk unveils £99 Sky Sports Season Ticket

TalkTalk_TV_player_2TalkTalk has announced its latest initiative to encourage its million-plus budget conscious customers to add premium content to their TV packages.

For just £11 per month football and other sports fans can buy a Sky Sports Season Ticket allowing them to enjoy the broadcaster’s coverage of the Premier League, Championship, League 1 and League 2.

The nine-month package launches 23 August and includes access six Sky Sports channels with top sports such as the Ashes, international Rugby Union and the US Open.

TalkTalk says the package represents “huge savings of £191.16 compared to Virgin Media, £216 compared to BT and £220.50 compared to Sky.”

talktalk_brand_shot_720TalkTalk is offering TV customers the chance to add Sky Sports and Sky Movies to their channel bundles for just £4 a month for three months – a 90% saving on the regular price.

Customers who sign up to the Sky Sports and Sky Movies between May 14 and May 20 will be eligible for the deal. Non-sports fans can add the Sky Movies Boost for £1.50 a month for three months from Thursday, May 7 May to Saturday, May 13. 

The firm’s offer of a free set top box and low-cost channel ‘boosts’ has helped it sign up more than a million TV customers, however many do not subscribe to additional content and others only do so on a short term basis.

Today’s deals are the latest in a long run of promotions aimed at increasing the number of customers who pay for premium content.

TalkTalk offers Sky Sports and Sky Movies for £20 a month

talktalk_brand_shot_900TalkTalk is offering three months half price on its Entertainment Extra channel package and Sky Sports and Sky Movies combined ‘Boost’ available until 19 February.

The promotion is the ISP’s latest attempt to boost the number of subscribers to its TV service who take add-on and premium content as part of their package.

TalkTalk’s Entertainment Extra Boost offers over 60 channels, including Sky 1 and Sky Living and is available ￡5 a month to TalkTalk Plus TV homes and £7.50  a month to TalkTalk Essential TV customers.

The Sky Sports and Sky Movies Boost is available for £20 a month for three months. 

Both packages are available on a monthly contract with no minimum term.

The three month special offer represents a £25pm saving on the firm’s regular combined price for its Sky Movies and Sky Sports Boosts.

Both are available on a month to month basis so customers can add and remove them from their packages as required.

TalkTalk adds BoxNation and Premier Sports

TalkTalk_TV_player_2TalkTalk is adding BoxNation and Premier Sports to its YouView-based TV platform, boosting the number of sports channels available to subscribers.

The service already offers six Sky Sports channels, giving customers access to top-flight football, rugby, cricket and golf. Premier Sports’ arrival will add ice hockey, American motorsports and Australian rugby league.

BoxNation is the country’s only 24 hour boxing channel and can be added to on a monthly, no-contract basis for £12 a month.
