Last year Mr Warren and the broadcaster announced a major tie-up which will see 10 major bouts shown each year on both BT Sport and his BoxNation channel.
When BT Sport first launched it was free for all TV and broadband customers, however in 2015 the firm introduced a £5pm charge for broadband customers but offered the channels for free to those taking or renewing a TV contract.
The Facebook stream will feature the league’s “NBA Mobile View” feed which offers a viewing experienced optimised for the smaller screens of tablets and phones.
BT and Dolby have been working on the feature for the past 18 months and say it is best suited to stadium and arena events where, combined with the UHD picture quality, it can create an ‘immersive’ experience for viewers.
The new contract starts in September 2017 and covers both the UK and Republic of Ireland. In addition to Bundesliga matches, BT Sport will have rights to the annual DFL Supercup matches, Bundesliga 2, plus previews and highlights shows.
